town to terminus i walk down streets that time forgot where children still throw stones i walk down streets that time forgot where children still throw stones from town to terminus put streets between us from town to terminus i can't determine us i wrote your name on the soles of my shoes like the greeks used to do i wrote your name on the soles of my shoes because i hate you
2.
prosper in exile i'm sure i'd prosper in exile but i still have a home so i continue my life's work unseen and unknown i'm sure the grass is greener where i've never been i know the sun is shining where i cannot see twenty two to twenty seven quickly passed you by you never know how long you'll live until the day you die my parting gift to this world is a bench dedication be kind to animals always take your medication
3.
Blue Sky 02:37
blue sky i stared at a blue sky until i saw a star i stared at a blue sky for the perfect sunset you need a few clouds for the perfect sunset
4.
change my ways your cowboy stands before me a loaded brush in his hands he's well heeled but he fails to understand why i took his picture and sent him back to the land i know you're with him 'cause that's where you're meant to be but don't let it stop you from thinking of me don't let it die but don't let him see i said congratulations and with that word did part what i really meant was i hope he breaks your heart i hope it really hurts when he breaks your heart wounds take their time time to heal these days wounds take their time time to heal these days give me some time and i can change my ways
5.
Little Thief 05:06
little thief amateur i'm atcha back door you left it open now whatcha do that for i let myself in with the tools of my trade i keep them in gloves made of suede through the window across your floor i know where you keep it 'cause i've been here before i had something to eat and then i washed the dishes this time i'll leave a note with my best wishes i never give but i've been known to take it away if i can have it for free why should i pay i steal from the rich 'cause i used to be poor and i used to be hungry but i'm not anymore i found god in architecture i like the windows but not the lecture he's got lots of silver he's got lots of gold it's good to look at it's even better to hold and if i can have it for free why should i pay there's no such thing as manmade nothing in this world is manmade
6.
All I Ever Had (free) 02:57
all i ever had she's a credit to her kind i'm deep in debt and way behind with the payments on my soul her eyes are crystal mine are coal i think i'll burn a cd for you in fact i think i'll burn a few hundred thousand at the store raze it to the ground 'til there's no sound anymore it's all i've got but it's all i ever had it's all that i've got left but then it's all i ever had i see the lights come on in your hills i see them shiver like they got the chills like i get each time we meet down by the river or out in the street
7.
another man's medals i feel sorry for the singer whose heart's not in his song he hits the notes high and low but it's bad 'cause it feels wrong like wearing another man's medals sometimes the highest mountain is not the hardest to climb and the conquering explorer knows when he's guilty of the crime of wearing another man's medals hearts bleed they're not trophies with names engraved of stars some self inflicted wounds some battle won scars some things just don't ring true and some things i will not do but maybe i'd be tempted if i thought i could win you by wearing another man's medals
8.
keep your lies lost an hour to summertime lost my wallet, losing peace of mind cards are cancelled but there're bills to pay think i'll settle up and slip away i'm at an all time low i've been listening to local radio if things were bad well now they're worse pete said he'd pick me up he stopped by in a hearse why should i keep my promise when you can't keep your lies i feel like a dog and i've lost my favourite bone now i know the difference between lonely and alone matchbook from the sea of happiness of sentimental value no more, no less passport photos of me and you all gone forever all gone for good why should i keep my promise when you can't keep your lies why should i keep my promise it's easier to lie
9.
life is in colour he didn't like the film it was black and white and life is in colour life is bright he spoke of himself and the king in the same breath and how he holds the record since the king's untimely death he turned the radio off at the wall and listened to the signal fade and the tick of the electric clock it's light outside he's looking for a place in the dark to hide
10.
places in your heart there are places in your heart that will never bare my name like the places only seen from a fast passing train there are places in your heart that will never bare my name never bare my name i wear my heart out on my sleeve 'til it's wiped clean away with by the tears that form and fall each and every day i no longer feel sorry for myself i've got others who do that for me now here comes the weekend it's time to say goodbye maintain radio silence but it's hard to live a lie
